Hydroelectric Working Dam Model

Many years ago, KiwiMill made a working dam model for the Bureau of Reclamation. This model is a complete re-design of the original model that was used for years to demonstrate to the public how a dam actually works.

This is a working model of a hydroelectric dam.

The working model was created for the government to demonstrate the properties of hydroelectric power. Water is channeled through the working model, mimicking the real life dam.

The working model was built to illustrate 4 concepts; The spillway, bypass, river flow and electric generator.
